Replacing brakes(1998 Lexus es300)
I had to replace the Brakes on the car semi recently.(all of it, Calipers, rotors, pads, parking brake, the hole darn thing) A Process i am not sure i recommend taking on yourself. I was out to save myself some money and tried to do this myself, which i did.. for two of the four wheels. then i decided it was better to take the car and the rest of the parts into a shop and let them finish it. Which is what I would recommend. Purchase the parts yourself(if you feel confident) and then take the car and parts into the shop for the labor portion. I struggled some on this one, but the process is actually fairly straight forward but I kind of siked myself out a little.
I'm still better for the experiance because now I know what's involved. I feel i COULD do it again if i needed too. But also that if its an option this is one mayble worth taking into the Pro's.
